Russian pasta with Bacon Vodka and Brandy
I’m Italian and this is my favourite kind of pasta. I usually prepare it when I want to make a good impression! Bacon, cooking cream, tomato, brandy and Vodka for a unique taste!
Portion for:
4 People
Time:
40 Minutes
Difficulty level:
Medium
Ingredients:Â
- “Penne” Pasta: 400 g
- Smoked bacon (minced): 250 g
- Brandy: half a glass (100 ml)
- Tomato sauce (passata): 400 gr
- Cooking cream (Panna da cucina): 250 grÂ
- Vodka: 150 mlÂ
- Butter: 65 gr
- Grated Grana cheese: 100 gr
Directions:

1.
Chop the smoked bacon with the blender

2.
Put the butter and bacon in a pan and let it brown for a while (not more than 5 minutes)

3.
Pour all the Brandy and set it on fire (tilt the pan until the liquid slide on the edge and bring it closer to the source of fire) be careful! wait until the flames naturally extinguish.

4.
Add the tomato and the cooking cream until the mixture turns salmon pink/orange.

5.
Add the Vodka, salt and pepper (As for my advice put a lot of pepper to give a hint of spice)

6.
Let it cook for about twenty minutes and mix occasionally (don’t put the lid. The sauce should thicken, but to avoid splashing I suggest using a lid with a net, like the one you can find below)

7.
Meanwhile put 2 lt of water into a separate pot. Add 20 gr of salt.

8.
When the water boils add the pasta.

9.
When the pasta it’s ready (usually 10-12 minutes, but check the consistency) drain it with a colander and put togheter with the sauce, serve immediately with grated parmesan cheese.
